Timeframe for closing process
Planning ahead always takes the stress out of the process.
The total timeframe from application to closing usually takes between 5–7 business days. Working with an experienced aircraft financing company helps you understand what to expect before the process begins. Once we receive a complete application, the application process can take between 1–3 days and then obtaining all of the necessary closing documents can take 3–5 days depending on many different factors. While unexpected delays can occasionally arise, we work proactively to minimize disruptions whenever possible. Our goals always align with yours: achieving an accurate, efficient, and timely closing.
More specifically we’ve outlined the standard timeframes and the process below (download it in checklist form here). Of course there are always unexpected bumps in the road which can extend the timeframe but we always do our best to avoid these as much as possible. Application
Once we receive all required application documents, the review and approval process typically takes between 1 to 3 business days. Submitting a complete application package, with all documents provided in PDF format, helps ensure the fastest possible turnaround and a smoother overall process.
Approval to Contracts
This can be the same day, depending on the timing of the approval, and if you have already found your airplane. If you haven't already, you should send the purchase agreement, spec sheet, and any corporate information if you are putting the loan in an LLC or corporation (operating agreement, articles of organization, certificate of formation, IRS EIN forms, etc.) to your loan officer.
Once your aircraft is selected, our team keeps the next steps organized so the process continues moving toward closing.
Contract Process
We will send you a secure link to review and electronically sign your loan documents. Most clients complete this process within 1 to 3 business days.
During this time, you can also begin submitting the supporting documents required for closing so everything is prepared and ready to move forward once your signed contracts are received. For a complete list of required items, please refer to our closing checklist overview.
Closing
Once all required closing documents have been received and title has been confirmed clear, we are typically able to complete the closing within 1 business day.
Please note that our lenders have a wire transfer cutoff time of 2:00 PM EST, and the FAA closing cutoff time is 4:15 PM EST. Receiving all final documents prior to these deadlines helps ensure a smooth and timely closing process.
